On April 11, 2026, Adam Marcus moderated the panel “Water Climates” at the “Water Paradoxes: The Atacama Desert as an Extreme Laboratory for Climate, Extraction, and Design” symposium at Tulane University School of Architecture and Built Environment. The symposium, chaired by Cristóbal Molina Baeza and Rubén García Rubio, brought together leading experts in arid zones, water management, critical minerals, renewable energy, cultural heritage, and urban and architectural design to explore the impacts of climate change in Chile’s Atacama Desert.
