Drawing Codes Project Receives 2025 ACSA Creative Achievement Award

The Drawing Codes project, led by Adam Marcus and Andrew Kudless, has been recognized by the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture with a Creative Achievement Award as part of the 2025 Architectural Education Awards Program. The annual awards program honors architectural educators for exemplary work in areas such as building design, community collaborations, scholarship, and service. The Drawing Codes project, initiated by Marcus and Kudless in 2017, s a curatorial and research platform for investigating how emerging technologies of design and production have catalyzed new ways to engage with traditional practices of architectural drawing. The project is pursued through a multi-volume series of curated exhibitions, workshops, and publications, including the 2024 book Drawing Codes: Experimental Protocols of Architectural Representation (Applied Research + Design).
