Lecture, Book Launch, and Exhibition Opening at University of Houston

January 31, 2025

On January 27, Adam Marcus joined co-author Andrew Kudless for an exhibition opening and lecture at University of Houston Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design, marking the publication of the book Drawing Codes: Experimental Protocols of Architectural Representation. The exhibition, designed by Shawn Lutz, includes all 96 drawings commissioned for the three volumes of the project, which was initiated in 2017. Marcus and Kudless’s lecture, part of the Hines College spring lecture series, presented the theoretical overview of the project and discussed case studies from the book’s archive of procedural and computationally-informed drawings.
